Life as an artist 2016
Recently I have been experimenting more with mixed media and drawing, and yet I constantly find myself drawn back to tone and the mysteries of creating something real with nothing more than strokes of colour and paint. James Gleeson used these simple materials to create a whole different world, to express what he wanted to (whether we understood it or not) and the world he created was truly beautiful in its constant activation of the canvas, and its dancing surprises of colour and tone juxtapositions. I would like to work towards this level of mastery, while expressing my own preoccupations in my own way- perhaps not yet discovered. This is my focus in 2016.
